Xbox One event - DM News

DM News - Since late 2005, the Xbox 360 has entertained gamers. Now, eight years later, Microsoft has announced its' new console, the Xbox One.
On Tuesday, May 21, Microsoft hosted an event to officially introduce the console to the world. The event showed off the console and the controller. A few new games were also announced, including Call of Duty: Ghosts, Forza Motorsport 5 and Quantum Break.

EA (Electronic Arts) announced their "strategic" partnership with Microsoft. EA also announced that Madden NFL 25, FIFA, NBA and UFC will be comming to the console.
Unlike Playstation 4's announcement, Xbox One didn't show off too many games and gaming opportunities. Instead, the console was shown off with its' entertainment purposes. The console is compatible with Kinect. To turn the console on, you simply say, "Xbox, on." After that, the user is signed in in a matter of just a few seconds.
The Xbox One's dashboard, which was used the most during the event, was very similar to the Xbox 360's dashboard. If you're watching a movie or using Skype, by closing your hands together, you are back at the dashboard with a small window showing what you were just doing. To get back, you would wave your hands outward.
Microsoft also demonstrated how you can use Kinect and watch TV on the Xbox One. Top watch TV, just say, "Xbox, watch TV," or to change channels, say, "Xbox, what's on NBC." The TV on the Xbox One, isn't like Direct TV or Cox, ti only allows you to watch your local channel listings.
The Xbox One's hardware includes: 8 GB RAM, 8-core CPU, 500 GB hard drive, both HDMI in and out and a 3.0 USB port. A Blu-ray drive will finally be included, too. To record gameplay, a DVR is also part of the Xbox One. The controller did not change too much, other than a different but similar shape and the default color of the controller and the system being a glossy black.
Both the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 will be released later in the year.

New Xbox to be called Xbox Infinity? - DM News

DM News - The upcoming Xbox has been given numerous code names and rumors about its name. It has been called 'Durango,' Xbox 720, Xbox Fusion, Xbox 1080, or some rumors about it being called 'Xbox.' Now, many rumors are leading to the next-gen console being called the 'Xbox Infinity.'
The two most likely names Microsoft will choose are Xbox 720 or Xbox Infinity. I don't know about you but I am thinking the Infinity sounds great.
On May 21 Microsoft will be officially announcing the new Xbox. Don Mattrick with the Xbox team titled the invitation "a new generation revealed." The event will be held at Xbox's campus in Redmond, Washington. I will be sure to give you the latest on the event when the event takes place.
